Food & Drink Presentation
Dry ice is very popular in the hospitality industry, used by hotels and restaurants for food & drink presentation.
Dry Ice Cocktails
Always use ChilliSticks to safely add dry ice to drinks. Never put Dry Ice loose into drinks. If it’s accidentally swallowed it could cause internal injuries. Dry Ice is -78oC and if it comes into direct contact with skin it will cause freezer burns.
ChilliSticks are approx. 7” in length, with a locking capsule at one end capable of holding a Dry Ice pellet. Each ChilliStick gives approximately 3 to 5 minutes fog effect depending on the volume of liquid in the glass. ChilliSticks are sold separately to the dry ice.
Dessert Presentation
Dry ice adds a truly unique experience to dessert presentation. The dry ice fog can either be poured from a jug into the dish, or dry ice pellets can be placed in a small dish (on the same plate but separate to the food) and warm water added to the dry ice. This will create a fog effect that spreads across the plate for 2 – 5 mins depending on how many pellets are used. Note that ceramic dishes are best as dry ice on metal creates a vibrational higher pitch noise.

Floor Displays
To create a fog effect floor display for a larger space we recommend using a dry ice fog machine.
